Description ANDY ARMOUR UEFA B LICENCE ASSIGNMENT CROSSING AND FINISHING

Quick touches Quick touches: Groups of three, three cones, couple of soccer balls. Cones are set up in a triangle 2 yards apart. Player A. is the passer and player B is the reciever. Player B works way around the trainingle recieveing a pass from the passer on each side of cone. Player B recieves the ball passes it back then moves between the next cones and does the same. Player B works for 1 Min. working around triangle. Coaching points: Staying square to passer, on toes, positive touches, talking. Progression: two touch one touch

Possesion Possesion 2 teams V 1 team Four cones, load of soccer balls, three teams, 25x45 space. Two teams play keep away from the third team. To score they have to complete 8 passes. Ball goes out of play or defense wins the ball the team that lost the ball becomse def. and most go to the middle before they go on Def. Progression: Limit touches, Ways to score. ( penetraiting pass through middle zone, cross ball into attack player who flicks out.

He dribbles the ball 10 yards and then plays a quick 1-2 into player A. He then plays the ball into the corner area for player A to run onto. Player A crosses the ball in first time and the two strikers time their run and attempt to score. Key Coaching Points: Focus on quality of passing in the build up play, quality of crosses, timing of runs from the strikers and the quality of their finishing.

Final Conditioned game: 8v8: A 5 yd channel on both sidelines. Players play and try to score. Ball can only be played into outside channels by attacking team when in attacking half as seen above. If ball goes out or in zone to early other teams free kick. Coaching points: Good runs, good crosses, quick distribution off free kicks, good defending of crosses.
