Testimonial “The first step in being considered an expert is to acquire some expertise. In construction specifications, one way to acquire expertise is to flounder around making mistakes and picking up pointers here and there for a decade or two. The other route is preparation for, and testing yourself for certification as a CDT and a CCS. I chose to become certified to educate myself and to verify for myself that I had actually learned something. To someone considering certification, I would add that it will reduce the number of unnecessary mistakes you make as a specifier, designer or contractor, and will enhance the value of your subsequent hands-on experience as a specifier, contributor, or user of specifications.” – Brian Lightheart
