Current Welcome to Current Discipleship Ministry! We call our ministry “Current” because it is the life flow of our church. What does that mean, exactly? It means that while salvation is the first step for a believer, there are more steps that follow in helping a believer become a disciple – a true follower of Christ. One step is to increase in knowledge and understanding of the Bible – which you can do in a Wednesday evening class, offered each week at OBCC. Another step in spiritual growth only comes from time spent in an informal setting with other believers: from hearing their testimonies, from seeing how they interact with their spouse, their kids, or just other people in general. If this sounds great, then you may be more interested in a life group than a class. We have life groups meeting on and off campus that may appeal to you. We invite you to step off the periphery and into the current of our church to experience the powerful life that flows here. For more information on classes or life groups, contact Pastor Christi Hendrickson by email at [email protected].

Ready to Answer the Call? Four Pillars...Three Tracks... One Purpose... Our purpose is to equip the saints for LEADERSHIP of ministry, specifically as Pastors, Church Planters and Missionaries. We understand that in order to increase our effectiveness in spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ, ministry leaders must be trained in Spiritual Formation, Biblical Education, Ministry Experience and Leadership Skills; the four pillars of our school. Creekside School of Ministry’s goal is to prepare ministry leaders for whatever and wherever God calls them.

Understanding Revelation The book of Revelation is not necessarily a stand alone book since it deals with past, present and future events. A good understanding of historical events from a biblical perspective is a must. A working knowledge of Old and New Testament prophecies is also just as important. One should consider the books of Daniel, Isaiah and Jeremiah as relevant inserts to Revelation. A "harlot" riding on a beast with seven heads and ten horns doesn't make much sense without further input from other writings. However important they are, many of the metaphors found in Revelation have discouraged some Christians from studying its sacred pages. In this class, we will tie them together.

The Word (John and the Targums)

This study will investigate the first chapter of the Book of John to understand what he was teaching to his intended recipients. The study will answer the question of whether John was teaching something radically new to First Century Israel and the fledgling Messianic Believers, or was he merely expanding on what was already known by the Jewish people? The objective for the course is for the learner to expand his/her understanding of the connection between Judaism and the Church; to search Scripture beyond the New Testament; and, most importantly, gain a deeper understanding of, and appreciation for the Word of God.

The War Room

Moms of Men By Lisa Bevere and Havilah Cunnington

A time for accountability and prayer. Real men are rising up across our nation. These men are not just heroes on display, but heroes to their families – and heroes when no one is looking. These men are learning to become more than conquerors through Christ. You see, conquerors aren’t born – they are made. A few of the highlights: • Explore strongholds that keep men in bondage • Examine the neurochemistry of addiction • Discover the weapons and strategies of God • Investigate proven strategies to prevent relapse • Study practical daily techniques to remain free

Starts at 5:30pm and ends by service time.

Mothering boys is one of the most challenging things you will ever do. It can be utterly exhausting at times. As a mother of four boys-turned-men, I remember going to bed with a never-ending to-do list, often feeling like I just didn’t measure up. So if your boys push you to the max at times, you are not alone. Trust me when I say I get it. I’ve been there, done that, got the T-shirt, more times than I can count. Over the years, I found myself wishing there was a manual to show me how to do things well. In this study, we tackle just about every topic imaginable, including identity, discipline, dating, schoolwork, sexuality, purity, and more, sharing the tools we picked up along the way to help you raise your boys into men of God. Mothers, you can do this. You have what it takes. And you don’t have to travel this road by yourself—we’re here to help. We’re not perfect moms, but with God’s help, we have done it well—and we want to share what we’ve learned with you.

Wednesday Sanctuary Service

This nine-session study is designed for those who have a current or past relationship with a person who has a life-controlling problem. It emphasizes the need we all have for each other, helps people focus on Christ rather than on the problem, and serves as a powerful evangelistic tool by providing a way to minister to people’s felt needs and then pointing them to Christ.

If you enjoy the weekend services and would like to hear MORE on certain topics, the Wednesday Service might be for you!

This study is ideal for home groups, support groups, recovery groups or cell groups.

The goal of our Wednesday Service is to help people go deeper in their understanding of the Word and topics in their faith, theology, and to grow as a disciple of Christ.

Offered through Lifeline Connections of the Black Hills.

Following a time of corporate praise and worship, you’ll enjoy a time of “TREACHING” (Teaching+Preaching) from our Senior Pastor Chuck Loftis.
