2018 BOSTON UNIVERSITY men’s lacrosse GAME NOTES

Game #3 Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2018 7 p.m. - Nickerson Field - Boston, Mass. Boston University (1-1, 0-0 PL) vs. Dartmouth (1-0, 0-0 Ivy League) Watch: WatchStadium.com - Marisa Ingemi (PxP), Justin Domingos (color) BACK TO WORK • After a 10-day hiatus, the Boston University men’s lacrosse team is back in action on Tuesday night to host Dartmouth at Nickerson Field. • Game time is set for 7 p.m. YEAR FIVE • This is the program’s fifth season at the Division I level. • BU has improved every year since its inaugural season in 2014. • The Terriers have enjoyed a winning season in each of the last two years, including a program-best 12-5 record in 2017. • BU is 29-33 overall in four-plus seasons. A NEW OPPONENT FOR THE TERRIERS • Tuesday will be the first time that BU and Dartmouth have met. • Dartmouth will be the 13th different nonconference opponent and 21st different opponent overall that the Terriers have faced. • Of those 21 opponents, BU has defeated all but three (Ohio State, Duke, Army West Point).

THEY CAN HANDLE THINGS THEY’RE SMART • Dartmouth will be only the second Ivy League school that BU has ever faced. • The Terriers are 2-2 all-time against Harvard. • Head coach Ryan Polley coached against Dartmouth while as an assistant at Yale, but he never faced this coaching staff while with the Bulldogs. SCOUTING THE BIG GREEN • Dartmouth opened its season on Saturday with a 13-12 home win against Canisius. • Jack Korzelius scored the game-winner with 1.9 seconds remaining in regulation. • That was one Korzelius’ three goals on the day. • Six other players finished with multiple points, including freshman attack George Prince, who totaled a team-high four points thanks to a teambest three assists. • Chris Bacotti finished 8-of-15 at the faceoff X with seven ground balls. • George Christopher started in the cage and played the first 32:19, allowing seven goals and making three saves. • Alex Burnley came in for the final 27:41 and stopped three of the eight shots on goal he faced.
