Worship the KING! This week, we worship King Jesus who teaches us about His Kingdom by telling parables. Whenever we give freely to God—that’s worship!

MEMORY VERSE Galatians 5:22-23; John 15:16b

“The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” “Go and bear fruit—fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in My name.”

PARABLE CHALLENGE This week, give something good to others, instead of giving good things to yourself. Check a way you’ll try that this week. [ ] I will give away something I own. [ ] I will earn some money for offering or for someone in need. [ ] I will give others first choice and first turns during games.

Read Matthew 13:44.

In this parable, the treasure stands for

Read Luke 12:20-21. Check your favorite ways to be rich towards God. [ ] Giving my money offering. [ ] Helping those in need.

What is greed?

[ ] Telling others about Jesus. [ ] Praying for others.

That’s a very strong feeling of wanting to have more of something than what is truly needed.

Read Luke 12:18-19. The rich fool planned to use his crops and goods for himself so that he could (TAE) E__ __, (KRIND) D__ __ __ K, and be (RYREM) M__ __ __ Y. Read Luke 12:16-18. When the rich fool grew a good crop, he chose to [ ] share it with others. [ ] sell it and give the money as an offering. [ ] keep it for himself. [ ] give thanks.

Read Luke 12:15. Jesus said to watch out for all kinds of greed. What might you become greedy for? [ ] More money.

[ ] More toys.

[ ] More clothes.

[ ] More games.

THE RICH FOOL Luke 12:15-21 Jesus said, "Wat ch out! Be on your guard ag ainst being greedy. Life is no t made up of how much a person has." Then Jesus told a para ble about a rich fool who tore down his barns to build ev en bigger ones. He stored up all of his extra crops and ri ches to keep them for himself instead of being rich toward s God by giving to those in need.
