Day or Overnight Familiarization Trip to Sonoma Wine Country March 11 & 12, 2016 Developed for Virtuoso Travel Consultants
Join National Parks Revealed, the Virtuoso On-Site for the American West, on either a day or overnight familiarization trip to California’s Sonoma Valley, just an hour north of the Golden Gate Bridge. Partake of fine dining at a St. Francis Winery Wine Pairing Lunch, voted one of Top 100 restaurants in the U.S. by Open Table subscribers in 2015. Then enjoy fine vintages in a cave tasting at the nearby Kunde Winery. Those staying overnight will drive to nearby Farmhouse Inn to check in, freshen up and enjoy dinner at the Inn’s Michelin-starred restaurant. Farmhouse Inn is Virtuoso’s newest wine country addition, recently voted #8 on T&L’s World’s Best List & Best Hotel in California. The next morning, enjoy breakfast at the Inn, then a guided walk at nearby Armstrong Redwoods, home to some of the tallest trees in the world.

St. Francis Winery Wine Pairing Lunch / Kunde Winery Cave Tasting / Dinner at Farmhouse Inn Michelin-Starred Restaurant / Overnight Farmhouse Inn 12:30p – Arrive St. Francis Winery in the Sonoma Valley (about a 2-hour drive north from San Francisco). 1:00p-2:30p – Wine pairing lunch in the St. Francis Dining Room. 2:30p-3:00p – PowerPoint presentation on California & Wine Country Travel by Marty Behr. 3:15p-4:45p – Cave tasting at the Kunde Winery. End of Familiarization Trip for those electing Day Trip. For those staying overnight – drive 30 minutes to Farmhouse Inn to check in. 7:30p – Dinner at Farmhouse Inn Michelin 1-Star restaurant.
Overnight Deluxe Room at Farmhouse Inn Day 2 – Saturday, March 12
Breakfast at Farmhouse Inn / Armstrong Redwoods Hike 8:00a – Breakfast at Farmhouse Inn. 10:00a-1:00p – Private guided hike at Armstrong Redwoods State Reserve. End of Familiarization Trip for those electing Overnight Trip.
Fam Tour Prices:
Day Trip – $150. Includes wine pairing lunch, cave tasting, and $100 credit toward purchase of wine. Overnight Trip – $395 per person double occupancy + cost of dinner (about $150 with tax, tip and wine). Includes wine pairing lunch, cave tasting, lodging double occupancy, breakfast, Redwoods walk, and $100 credit toward purchase of wine (at the wineries or with dinner).
