Fighting Illini Sport Camps & Clinics Dear Camper, Welcome to the 2016 Fighting Illini Baseball Camp! We hope you are having a successful year and are looking forward to camp this summer. Enclosed you will find a customer statement, general camp information, a local map and a medical release form. Please ask your parents to complete the medical release form and return it to us before you come to camp. If you are attending more than one camp, it is only necessary to complete one form; however, please indicate the names and dates of all the camps you will attend. If you feel that your medical form will not reach us before the start of camp please just bring it with you to Check-in. Please see the enclosed “Frequently Asked Questions” sheet for roommate assignment information. If you are commuting to camp, you must attend Check-in so that you can receive your instructions for the week. Check-in for Hitting Camp, June 14-16, will take place on Tuesday, June 14, between 1:00pm and 2:00pm at the Florida Avenue Residence Halls, 1001 College Court, Urbana (see map). Camp activities begin at 2:00pm on Tuesday. All campers will receive dinner on Tuesday evening at approximately 5:30 pm. If you are a commuter, breakfast and dinner are NOT included in the fee on the remaining days, but daily meal passes may be purchased at check-in for between $5 - 10 depending on the meal. Checkout is on Thursday, June 16, at 11:30am. Please bring your own baseball gear. This should include a glove, hat and practice clothes. We suggest you plan to wear some type of baseball pants that you can slide in. Also, bring athletic shoes (spikes if you wear them), tennis shoes, shorts, athletic supporter and protective cup, a sweatshirt, and a pair of batting gloves. If possible, catchers should bring their catching gear with them and all players should bring a bat. Please mark all equipment with your name and phone number. Resident campers will need to supply their own towels, washcloths, soap and toiletries. Do not forget to bring a jacket or rain gear. Please leave all valuables at home (e.g. iPods). The University is not responsible for lost or stolen items. For any questions you may have, call the Sport Camps & Clinics Office at 217-244-7278. Should an emergency arise after hours that will require contacting a currently attending camper or will affect the next day camp checkin, please call the emergency hot line number 217-244-9244. This number rings to a staff cell phone. If it is not answered immediately, leave a message and someone will return your call within minutes.

We are looking forward to working with you at camp!
