Dear Golden Bear Lettermen and Friends, The Golden Bear Football Legacy Club was established in 2015 during KU’s 100 Seasons of Football celebration as an initiative to engage KU football alumni, parents, faculty/staff, businesses and loyal fans. Our hope is that this club will continue to make a difference in the success of Golden Bear football moving forward. The Legacy Club slogan, “Honoring Our Past, Ensuring Their Future,” reflects our mission. The purpose of the club is to assist the program in raising funds for football scholarships on an annual basis. This will help ensure our defending PSAC East champion Golden Bears remain competitive in the division and in the conference. We are once again eager to continue the success that we had with the Legacy Club last season in assisting coach Jim Clements with his needs to recruit quality student-athletes to Kutztown University. Eligibility for membership requires a contribution of $100 or more annually to the KU football scholarship fund. The Legacy Club committee set a goal last season to raise $50,000 for football scholarships. We need your help once again this year in exceeding that amount. I would like to ask each of you to not only give to the program once again, but I encourage you to find five others to join our effort as well. We are enclosing a Legacy Club brochure that explains the entire program. Please consider renewing your membership or joining the Golden Bear Football Legacy Club today! We are also excited to once again announce that the Legacy Club will be hosting two events for all Legacy Club members for 2017. These events will include invites to the George Baldwin Maroon and Gold Football Golf Outing (7/28), and a special Legacy Club Day (9/16) as our team hosts Seton Hill University. We hope to see you at one of our future events! For additional information or if you have any questions, please feel free to contact Alex Ogeka, Senior Director of Development and Alumni Relations at the KU Foundation at 610-683-4110 or via email at [email protected]. Thank you again for your continued support of Golden Bear Football. GO KU!

Sincerely,

Jim Joyce’66
