Deborah Kelly is an independent historic preservation consultant with Preservation Partners, a firm in Crosswicks, NJ specializing in research, documentation and planning for historic sites. She is currently engaged as a consultant to Preservation New Jersey working on Super storm Sandy-related historic preservation activities, including providing assistance and funding information to communities whose historic resources were adversely affected by Super storm Sandy, and facilitating public involvement with federal and state agencies assisting with Sandy recovery programs. Debbie is also the co-creator of the New Jersey Women’s Heritage Trail, and has worked on several historic preservation projects involving Trail sites. She is currently working as a consultant to the Alice Paul Institute on a project to redesign the New Jersey Women’s History website, including the New Jersey Women’s Heritage Trail sites. Debbie is a member of the New Jersey Historic Trust Board of Trustees, where she previously served as its Chair and Vice-Chair and is currently serving as the Chair of the Grants and Loans Committee. She is a former Executive Director, past board member and President of Preservation New Jersey, and has also served on the New Jersey Cultural Trust, the New Jersey Historic Sites Council, the Chesterfield Township Planning Board and the Chesterfield Township Historical Society Board.
