De~'lir. Higashi: The story of Dan Inouye is the story of modern Hawaii and the story of the promise of America. On behalf of the Daniel K. Inouye Legacy Fund, I am pleased to give the Susannah Wesley Center the framed 1923 photo which the Center presented to Dan. This gift is a small token of his aloha for the Center, and in memory of his beloved mother. As appropriate, I hope you will display it proudly and fondly in Dan's memory. His life's work can be captured in two simple words - freedom and fairness. Through this gift, I hope his legacy of leadership and an unwavering hope for the future will be carried forward.
