Development Centres – JUNE 2017 PLAYER INFORMATION Development Centres will now run in June and again in September to October, at various sites throughout the County. The Academy Centres will follow the October Development Centres. For boys and girls, near beginners through to county players. Concentrating on core skill coaching and game play. Players will be grouped based on experience. Competition dates are listed below which are used for assessment and for progress to the Academy Centres. Players should bring a stick, shin pads, gum shield, a drink and appropriate clothing for the weather. All players are required to register with England Hockey at www.ehbplayersystem.co.uk. Where possible this should be done before the first session. If you are already registered please update your details. MUCH WENLOCK: William Brookes School Boys and Girls Year of birth: 03, 04, 05 & 06 Cost £42 Sundays: 11am-1pm 11th June, 18th June , 25th June
SHREWSBURY: Meole Brace School Boys and Girls Year of birth: 03, 04, 05 & 06 Cost £42 Thursdays 6pm – 8pm 8th June, 15th June, 22nd June
GOAL KEEPER DEVELOPMENT SESSIONS Boys and Girls (Year of Birth: 01, 02, 03,04, 05 & 06) Cost £42 – SUNDAYS (GK’s can attend Autumn JDC free of charge) Meole Brace: 4th June 11am – 1pm William Brookes: 25th June 11am-1pm St Georges: 16th July 11am-1pm (on the 4th June & 16th July please bring an outfield player with you to the session) Competition Dates: Boys: 8th October 11am – 1pm @ Shrewsbury School U13 Girls: 15th October 11am – 1pm @ Meole Brace U15 Girls: 15th October 2pm-4pm @ Meole Brace Payment: This can be made at the first session, please bring a cheque made payable to ‘Shropshire Hockey Association’. In cases of financial need the fee may be reduced. Players in the same family pay full price for the first child and half price for the others. We look forward to seeing you for another season of hockey and welcome all newcomers to the programme so please bring your friends.
