MEMBERSHIP FEES pay for training facilities, coaching and equipment. Fees must be paid in one or two instalments (30th September and 31st January). Devizes Netball Club - Code of Conduct for Young Players I will: Attend training regularly and be available for matches and arrive on time for training and matches. Wear appropriate clothing and footwear, but no jewellery. Make sure nails are short and hair tied back wherever possible. Show enthusiasm and a positive attitude at training. Play in the right spirit of the game. Listen to advice and respond to instructions. Aspire to the highest standard of play you are capable of. Show respect to all coaches, umpires, members of the club and to the opposition. Behave during training, and understand the club’s disciplinary “Warning System” Understand that if I do not attend for 3 sessions without informing the club in advance that I will be asked to leave the club and my place given to someone else. Do not use mobile phones during training or matches to send or receive text messages, calls, email, Apps or to surf the net. Not use Social Media technology to bring the game into disrepute or make an inappropriate comment about any athlete, coach, official, volunteer or member of England Netball staff

Devizes Netball Club - Code of Conduct for Parents/Guardians I / we will: Encourage my/our child to learn the rules and play within them and respect officials’ and coaches decisions. Support my/our child’s efforts and performance, giving positive and encouraging comments Discourage unfair play. Set a good example by recognising fair play and applauding the good performance of all. Publicly accept coaches’ and officials’ judgments. Understand that competition is about winning and losing so results are accepted without undue disappointment Never punish or belittle a child for losing or making mistakes. Never pressurise my/our child in any way; I know that this is their sport, not mine/ours. Not use Social Media technology to bring the game into disrepute or make an inappropriate comment about any athlete, coach, official, volunteer or member of England Netball staff Use correct and proper language at all times. Respect the rights, dignity and worth of all people involved in the game, regardless of gender, marital status, race, colour, disability, sexuality, age, occupation, religion or political opinion Be aware of the club’s safeguarding policy and ensure that any concerns are reported to the club’s safeguarding officer or England Netball’s Lead Safeguarding Officer. Encourage my/our child to behave during training and listen to her coaches and accept the club’s disciplinary system Understand that if my/our child does not attend for three sessions without informing the club we will assume they have left the club and her place will be given to someone else.
