Dear Parents/ Guardians: As winter is quickly approaching, it is time for us to begin thinking about inclement weather. In the event of winter weather, the district may decide to remain open with limited bus routes running. This year bus snow routes have been developed in hopes of decreasing the number of school days we are forced to cancel due to hazardous road conditions. Below is a listing of the bus snow routes for the 2015/2016 school year. Information concerning school closings and/or changes made due to hazardous driving conditions will be communicated through the district‘s call system and local media. Should you have further questions, please feel free to contact your child’s school. Local Media: KXIO 106.9, KDYN 92.7, KFSM 5, and KHBS 40/29
Whale—Bus 12 (Shouweiler) Nichols RD – end of pavement no further, and on Kimbrough Lane – will turn around at Arbaugh’s Squirrel—Bus 3 ( Taylor) Will not go up Dorney St in Hartman, will not go down Spring St., Armstrong St. or 8th St. in Coal Hill Cat—Bus 8 (Carter/Lightner) Will not go through Whiskey Ridge Rd. Elephant—Bus 10 (Miller) Will not go up Tick Hill, will pick up at Fernwood Church Turtle—Bus 11 (Smith) Will not go down Bartlett Rd CR 2190, Evans Bluff Rd Bird—Bus 15 (Bradley) Will bypass 7th street in Coal Hill Butterfly—Bus 16 (Chrisman) Will go no further than Pick a Part Salvage and will turn around, will go no further on CR 3201 Monkey—Bus 14 (Minchew) no snow routes
