Drama Learning Journey WALT – Objectives  The effects of drama mediums on drama performance  How the use of costume & props can enhance a drama piece  Developing the use of voice and vocal projection WILF – Outcomes  All will use a drama medium to help develop a devised drama piece  Most will use various drama mediums to help creatively develop a devised drama piece  Some will use various drama mediums to help develop a devised drama piece that shows clearly the setting/story/character while connecting with the role/audience    

Overview of unit & Expectations Thought shower – Drama Mediums (Movement/Gesture) Groups are given the idea of “Revenge” Groups devise a scene based on “Revenge” looking at movements and gestures that could be used Perform and Discuss

    

Recap thought shower – Drama Mediums (Voice) Groups are given the idea of “Good vs Evil” Groups devise a scene based on “Good vs Evil” looking at different voices that they could use Perform and Discuss

   

Recap thought shower – Drama Mediums (Space and Levels) Groups are given the idea of “Triumph” Groups devise a drama piece based on “Triumph” looking at various space/levels ideas Perform and Discuss    

Recap thought shower – Drama Mediums (Set and Props) Groups are given the idea of ‘The Battle’ Groups devise a drama piece based on ‘The Battle’ using various set/prop ideas Perform and Discuss

 

In groups Students start to devise a scene based on “Saved!” ready for assessment Students should include at least two drama mediums

  

Student’s polish and block their scene based on “Saved!” Make sure they have at least two drama mediums Showing setting/story/character and connection with the audience/camera

  

Refine & polish the group’s performance Perform their devised piece in front of a camera Peer written feedback

   

Watch back each performance and evaluate Written self and peer evaluation Give & receive feedback from tutor and peers Gain new attainment level and discuss next steps
