1. POINTS TO NOTE IN INSTALLATION 1-1. Before Installing Turn off the unit, then unplug its power cord from the AC outlet. Make sure that the power supply voltage and frequency in your area match the power requirements indicated on the main name plate of the unit.

1-2. Installation Location Install the equipment in a place where the floor is strong enough to bear the mass of the unit, which is as follows: 91 kg (200.44 lb)

Requirements for installation space are as follows: Width × Depth = 1280 × 550 mm (50.39 × 21.65")

Install the equipment in a horizontal and stable position. Do not install the equipment near heaters or other heat-emitting appliances. Install and use the equipment in an environment: – where the temperature range is between 5 and 35°C, – where the humidity range is between 20 and 85% RH (no dew condensation), – which is not subject to direct sunlight, – which is subject to little or no vibration,

– – – –

where there are no harmful chemicals, which is reasonably free from dust, which is free from air-borne salt, and where the equipment will not be exposed to water.

1-3. Power Supply This equipment shall be installed near the socket-outlet where the plug on the power supply cord is easily accessible. When you power other appliances from the same AC outlet, make sure that the combined power consumption does not exceed the power supply capacity.

2. INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

2-2. Connecting the DSF-2000

Release the locks securing the bottom plate of this unit and movable unit together (2 each at the front and back). Fixing plate

Loosen the two screws of the fixing plate, and move the fixing plate down and secure it. NOTE : Be sure to complete above work before turning on the power, or the unit may damage.

Temporarily secure the connecting plate provided to the DBM-120 cabinet.

Temporarily secure the connecting plate to the DSF-2000.

Tighten the screws temporarily secured in step 2, and secure the connecting plate. Check that the distance between the paper in-feed slot of this unit and the paper ejection guide of the DSF-2000 is 3 to 7 mm (0.12" to 0.28").

NOTE : As the above range will not be satisfied if the ground is not flat, check that the ground is flat. 3 to 7 mm (0.12" to 0.28")

Check that the paper in-feed slot of this unit and the center of the paper ejection guide of the DSF-2000 are of the same height.

NOTE : As the above range will not be satisfied if the ground is not flat, check that the ground is flat.

Insert one plug of the connecting cable 1 provided into D-PORT connector 2 of the DSF-2000, and the other end into D-PORT connector 1 of this unit. NOTE : Use the DUPLO connecting cable (marked STYLE 20276) only.

For q, insert the screws attached to this unit into the holes and tighten. Place w and e on the side-stapled paper stacker as shown in the figure. For r, adjust the Z collars attached to this unit to the holes and insert.

For t, adjust the Z collars to the holes on this unit and insert, and then insert the plug of the cable into the connector of this unit. For y, adjust the shaft to the hole on this unit, insert, and rotate it by 90°. For u, adjust the Z collars attached to the belt stacker to the holes and insert.

Connect the earth wires 1 and 2 provided to this unit and the DSF-2000. Earth wire 1

2-5. Connecting the Power Supply

Insert the power plug into the outlet.

NOTE : Move the DBM-120 Sheet by Sheet unit to and fro when changing the paper size. Move aside the power cord so that it does not touch the DBM-120 Sheet by Sheet at this time.

2-6. Checking the Installation Position

Turn on the power supply of this unit, and set to the A3 size. Refer to “6-1. Basic Operation” in the instruction manual of this unit for details on setting the paper size. Adjust at the long holes of the connecting plate so that the notch of the paper ejection guide of the DSF-2000 aligns with the A3 mark on the indication label of this unit, and tighten the screws temporarily secured in step 3 of the section “2-2.” to secure the connecting plate and DSF-2000.

2. INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

2-7. When Connecting the DBM-120T (Checking the Product Number)

Check the product number of the DBM-120T to be connected. If the product number is “0009XXXXX” or less, the DBM-120T will not operate normally.

When connecting the DBM-120T, use the connecting cable 2 provided. Insert one plug of the connecting cable 2 into D-PORT connector 2 of this unit, and the other end into D-PORT connector 1 of the DBM-120T.
