7th ANNUAL BURKE MOUNTAIN COMMUNITY

EASTER EGG HUNT Dear Friends of Burke Mountain, The 7th Annual Burke Mountain Community Easter Egg Hunt is happening again and promises to be bigger than ever this year! On Good Friday, April 14th, 2017, Burke Mountain families are invited to come to Galloway Park to connect with their neighbours in the community, and hunt for Easter Eggs. This year we are expecting over 1,200 attendees! The Burke Mountain Community Easter Egg Hunt is not just a fun community event; it also raises awareness and much needed funds for our local women’s shelter, Tri-City Transitions. Tri-City Transitions is a respected and established 35-year-old charitable not-for-profit organization supporting our community by providing help and hope to women and families who have been impacted by violence and abuse in the Tri-Cities. We are currently seeking sponsors for this year’s event, and your help is needed! I encourage you to contribute to this grass roots event, with 100% of proceeds directly benefiting families right here in our community. FAQ Is there a limit to the number of sponsorships? Due to space restrictions. we are limiting the number of Platinum Sponsors to SIX. Is there a deadline to submit my sponsorship? All sponsorships must be confirmed no later than Friday, March 31st, 2017. Sponsorships will still be accepted after this date, but we cannot guarantee inclusion in all promotional materials. Who do I send my sponsorship to? The easiest way to make a donation is to write a cheque directly to Rebecca Permack, and you will be issued a receipt for tax purposes. In some cases, we may accept a donation of goods or services as a form of sponsorship. If you would prefer a Charitable Donation Receipt, please call Rebecca to make arrangements. Where does my sponsorship money go? Putting on an event like this requires us to bear some modest expenses, and your sponsorship helps to offset the cost of things like chocolate eggs, site rentals and supplies. The organization and planning of the event is done completely by volunteers, and 100% of the remaining proceeds go directly to the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation. Can Platinum Sponsors set up wherever they want? Platinum Sponsors will be able to set up a 10x10 tent (maximum size) in a preassigned location at Galloway Park. Locations are assigned on a first come, first served basis by the organizers. Besides a tent, can Platinum Sponsors put up additional advertising at the park? Signage for Platinum Sponsors is limited to their tent, and will not be allowed elsewhere in the park. Can anyone hand out flyers, run a contest or do a promotion? Any sort of promotion, contest or giveaway during the event is limited to Platinum Sponsors, and must only be done at their tent. Can we hand out flyers, leaflets or promotional items throughout the park? Flyers, leaflets or promotional items may only be handed out by Platinum Sponsors at their booth. Can we do face painting, colouring or craft activities at our booth? Yes! We encourage our Platinum Sponsors to be creative and engage with your neighbours in a fun and interactive way! What time can we set up? You will be able to set up at Galloway Park starting at 8am, and must be set up by 10am on the day of the event. What time do we need to be out of the park? Everything you bring into the park must be removed by 4pm on the day of the event. How many volunteers can we bring to the event? There is no limitation on volunteers for Platinum Sponsors, and we encourage you to bring people out to support the event and the community! Is there power available at the park? We will not be able to supply any power during the event. I have more questions, who can I speak to?
