Eastey Install & Operation Econo Series Sealer and Tunnel

Machines should be in Location and uncrated.

Fig. 1

I stripped 10’ of casing off the power cord 10AWG for L’seal 8AWG for Tunnel

Fig. 2

Left is the power cord for the L’seal right power cord is for the tunnel

Loading table will slide off to access power inlet. Standing in front of the machine, pull the loading table toward you until is totally off.

Fig. 3

Remove the 2 screws on the far right side of the power access panel and lift cover off

Fig. 4

Route the 10awg power cord thru the hole on the bottom right and pull to the left to the F1 & F2 fuse block and ground connector.

Fig. 5

Tie the wires in to the fuse block and ground as shown in Fig. 6 Ensure they are tight. Reassemble cover for access panel and slide loading table back into place

Fig. 6

Remove the infeed side access panel as shown in Fig. 7. Also remove the 2 screws in the upper left and right hand corners of the control panel on the shrink tunnel

Fig. 7

Run the wire thru the hole in the back to the control panel. Tie in the 8awg wire as shown in Fig. 8. Ensure the wires are screwed down tight

Fig. 8

The machines I installed came with the Default temp. set to 350 degrees. This will need to be changed to 275. You can find the procedure in the Manual that comes with the machine. The page is titled “TZ4 Temp. Controller Instructions” toward the end of the book, Call Pete if the page can’t be located.

Fig. 9

Its difficult to see in this Illustration, when lining up the 2 machines the L’seal conveyor must be somewhat offset to the tunnel conveyer to ensure the product drops on the center of the conveyor on the tunnel. Also when leveling the tunnel to the L’seal ensure there is a ½” drop from the L’seal conveyor to the tunnel. When doing this adjustment make sure your L’seal conveyor is at the lowest position, by turning the crank handle on the front of the machine

Fig. 10

Once the 2 units have been aligned and leveled that you can load the film. The film is like Lamination film folded in half. When you load the film on the metal rollers make sure the open end of the film is facing the operator. Run the film under the bar and thru the perf wheel. The film should run under and over the loading table seen in Fig. 11

Fig. 11 The Control panel is simple. Dwell adjustment is how long the seal bar stays down. Setting of 1 – 2 should be sufficient. Sealer Conveyor is the speed of conveyor. I left mine set at 4, I suggest finding a speed that’s good for “your” customer. Middle toggle is for power on and off

The adjustment shown in Fig. 12 is for adjusting the heat on the seal wire. I started out too cold and worked my way out till I got a good seal on the product. The adjustment works like this. Turn in or tighten for less heat, turn out or loosen for more heat. When you watch the machine work you’ll understand how this heat adjustment works.

Fig. 12

I compare the shrink tunnel to any lamination system you may be familiar with. DON’T ADJUST HEAT SETTING: To get the proper shrink, either adjust conveyor speed dial on the control panel or adjust the airflow. The hot airflow adjustment (Fig. 13) opens or closes holes on the top, sides and bottom of the tunnel for more or less air.
