Make sure anyone who is using this product for the first time has read and understood this manual The Homegear Food Stand Mixer should be set up on a flat even surface. The Homegear Food Stand Mixer should always be set up in a dry area. Never use it near water. Never set up the Homegear Food Stand Mixer near a naked flame, flammable materials or other heat sources. Do not kink or clamp the main leads. To avoid any risk or injury never allow the lead to overhang an edge. Whenever changing accessories always ensure that the Homegear Food Stand Mixer has been switched off at the power supply. The Homegear Food Stand Mixer is only intended for use by adults, children must stay a safe distance away at all times. Make sure that the voltage shown on the rating plate corresponds with that of the main supply. The stand mixer is only to be connected to an AC supply (220-240V). The motor must always be switched off before the stand mixer is connected with the main supply. When the Homegear Food Stand Mixer is not in use make sure that it is turned off and unplugged form the power supply. Always ensure the Homegear Food Stand Mixer is turned off when the head is lifted up. Never operate the Homegear Food Stand Mixer when empty. Repairs should only be carried out by a qualified technician. Before Use Before using the Homegear Food Stand Mixer for the first time, remove all the packaging material and stickers and wash all parts with warm soapy water, rinse, then dry thoroughly. Before assembly ensure the speed control dial is turned to the off position. Make sure the suction feet under the Homegear Food Stand Mixer are pushed down firmly to prevent it from moving.
Using the Homegear Food Stand Mixer 1. Add the required ingredients to the bowl and open the upper main body using the head –lift leaver (see fig 1 and 2).
2. Place the mixing bowl on the base and turn it in an anticlockwise direction until it is fixed into position (see fig 3). 3. If you wish to attach the splashguard push it onto the underside of the mixer head and turn anticlockwise to lock into position (see fig 4). Please note you do not need to remove the splashguard to change tools.
4. Fix the dough blade, egg whisk or mixer blade on the blade connector and rotate the blade connector clockwise until engages firmly.
5. Turn the lifting handle in the direction of the arrow on the machine and press the housing cover downwards with one hand (see fig 6 and 7). 6. Insert the power plug in the power socket and turn the speed control dial to the “P” setting for the pulse option or set the speed control dial to the desired position, 1-6 for longer use. 7. When finished turn the speed control dial to “0” setting. Lift up the upper main body turning the head lift leaver clockwise and remove the mixing bowl by turning it in a clockwise direction.
Cleaning 1. Before cleaning always ensure that the speed control dial is set at the “0” position and that the plug had been completely disconnected from the power source. 2. After use always allow the Homegear Food Stand Mixer to cool down before you start the cleaning process. 3. To clean the exterior of the unit use a damp cloth with a mild detergent. 4. When cleaning the interior, exterior and splash guard never use any abrasive cleaning detergents or alcohol. 5. When cleaning the Homegear Food Stand Mixer never submerge it in water or any other liquid. 6. The beater, whisk and dough hook are not dishwasher safe and should only ever be hand washed with warm soapy water. 7. The mixing bowl is dishwasher safe.
Storage Always store the Homegear Food Stand Mixer in a clean dry place.
