ELECTRONIC TECHNICIAN Kings Dominion has an immediate opening in the Rides Maintenance division for Electronic Technician in Doswell, VA. This full time position reports to the Energy/Automation Supervisor.
JOB SUMMARY: This position installs, maintains and repairs sound systems as well as other electronic and electromechanical equipment and systems throughout the park. Additionally provides technical assistance to electronic maintenance
QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate’s degree in electronic technology supplemented by three to five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Experience in sound system maintenance and repair preferable. Experience in computer repair preferable. Must have good understanding of basic troubleshooting techniques of various systems. Ability to climb heights up to 350 feet and work without supervision. Position requires rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays. Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license. Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test and background check, which may include, but is not limited to credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains, diagnoses and repairs park and show sound systems. Repairs all major electronic equipment in park. Diagnoses sound, computer and telephone systems, as well as related circuitry problems and performs repairs. Diagnoses and repairs cameras and related equipment. Maintains all electronic equipment in close calibration on a routine schedule. Reads and understands schematics and blueprints. Responds to maintenance calls on electronic equipment and troubleshoots to the component levels. Determines operating condition of electronic equipment. Keeps abreast of changing technology. Adhere to and enforce all Cedar Fair policies and procedures, including safety, attendance and EEO policies, and demonstrate a commitment to guest service in all aspects of employment. Other duties as may be assigned.
