Mr. Potter presently is the Corporate Vice President and the General Manager of EZ Loader Custom Trailers, Midway, Arkansas, a subsidiary of EZ Loader Boat Trailers Inc. Per Mr. Potter’s acceptance speech, he stated that “ I am very proud to have earned the confidence of this organization and will do my best to provide every thing I can to continue building on the leadership and direction from previous presidents to keep this organization in the forefront during my time in office. Formally, Mr. Potter was Treasure/Secretary of NATM and board member. He was also the former chairman of the Boat Trailer Manufacturers Association (BTMA) in 2009, and also a member of the board of directors for the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) in 2009/2010 and the Accessory Manufacturers Board of Directors (AMD) 2009/2010. He also served on many other committees throughout his 25-year tenure serving the marine industry. Five years ago, Mr. Potter attended his first NATM convention and decided at that time this was the industry that EZ Loader needed to be associated. The main focus of the NATM has been on trailers of all types including horse, utility, landscape, commercial, construction, etc. with over 900 members. In 2006, the industry was considering a bold move to consider becoming “mandatory compliant”. This is the program the industry had adapted to provide their members guidelines to follow in order to manufacturer and distribute, safe and reliable trailers. Mr. Potter became involved with this committee and five years later was elected to the office of President. At the same time, during this convention, the industry voted unanimously to approve “mandatory compliance” as a requirement for manufacturers membership to this association. In Mr. Potter’s 33 year career in the marine industry, he has worked with customers and associations; directed and managed the companies of which he was employed. Potter has been at EZ Loader for over 15 years as a senior manager. With his counter-part in Spokane, WA, Mr. Bill Lang, and EZ Loader’s owner, Randy Johnson, EZ Loader Boat Trailers has become one of the nation’s largest and most popular brand names in the trailer industry. EZ Loader manufactures boat, utility, motor cycle, and landscape trailers. Most recently, they were awarded the “EC Type Approval” Certification and now allowed to sell their products in European Counties under one certification. This is a very unique certification which EZ Loader Customs and EZ Loader Adjustable are one of the only “Type Approved EC Certified” in the marine industry, or trailer companies in the general. EZ Loader sells internationally with 3 manufacturing facilities and 24-distribution centers worldwide.

Mr. Potter and NATM Executive Director Pam O’toole, will work within the executive committee of NATM and other officers and committee chairman in their quest to make safer products for the trailer industry. The ten NATM committees are set up to assist in providing input and actions for the industry. In May, 2011, Mr. Potter and the NATM will lead a group of industry executives to Washington DC in conjunction with NMMA. They will meet with Government officials from DOT, NHTSA, and other organizations involved in trailer laws in round table discussions. They will also meet with many Senators and Congressman to speak on behalf of the industry and their specific issues in order to gain and provide knowledge to those who are making decisions. Mr. Potter and Mr. Andy Gehman of MGS Inc., formed the coalition between NMMA and NATM four years ago and it has increased the trailer industry’s position in the Capitol tremendously by joining forces and efforts in getting support on Capitol Hill. NATM and NMMA combined have nearly 2000 member companies with many similar issues between these two organizations that need attention, which NATM and NMMA are excellent in communicating.
