Embroidering on lightweight fabric The deLuxe Stitch System™ improves the balance between needle thread and bobbin thread. Thanks to the deLuxe Stitch System™ you can now easily embroider with different kinds of threads in the same design. The deLuxe Stitch System™ gives a perfect result even on the reverse side of the fabric. • Use an Inspira® embroidery needle, size 75 • Always test your embroidery on scraps of the actual fabric with the stabilizer and threads you will be using before starting your project. • Hoop the fabric with heavy weight water soluble stabilizer underneath. • When finished embroidering, cut away the excess stabilizer around the design. Rinse in lukewarm water or according to manufacturer’s instructions.
Finishing the edge of the shawl • Snap on the Utility Foot A. Select the zigzag stitch no. A1:11 and adjust the stitch width to 1.5 and the stitch length to 2. • Fold 1/2" (1 cm) of the edge underneath the fabric and sew along the folded edge. • Remove the excess fabric by cutting close to the stitch.
