Emerald Ash Borer Workshop When: Friday, July 15th 2016 Where: Wellesley Island State Park Time: 9am- 2pm The emerald ash borer (EAB) is an invasive forest pest that kills ash trees. The emerald ash borer is responsible for the destruction of over 50 million ash trees and counting since its discovery in Michigan in 2002. Ash tree species are a very common street tree throughout the United States; they are an important forest species and food source for wildlife and are also considered a commercially valuable species.
