PRECISE FLIGHT INC. 63354 Powell Butte Road Bend, Oregon 97701
SUPPLEMENTAL AFM TO S/N: REGISTRATION NUMBER: STC: ST00453SE
GENERAL: SYSTEM DESCRIPTION The Precise Flight Pulselite® system includes a solid-state switching device that alternately pulses the Landing and optionally the Runway Turn-Off or Logo Lights in a side-to-side pattern. The pulsing lights create an illusion of exaggerated motion that allows the aircraft to be more easily recognized by others and more easily identified to other aircraft and air traffic controllers during airborne and ground operations.
GENERAL: SYSTEM OPERATION The two-position Inboard (Fixed) Landing Light switches are replaced with three-position switches to add a center PULSE position. The ON and OFF positions of the Landing Light Switches will override the Pulselite® system and operate the system as normal. The Pulselite® System is considered optional equipment and the aircraft may be dispatched with the system turned Off or Disabled, and may be turned off at any time at the pilot’s discretion. In case of a system malfunction, the Pulselite Control circuit breaker and/or switch may be turned off to deactivate / disable the system for dispatch. Optional: The system may be automated to turn on with the TCAS/TCAD during a “Traffic Event” (Traffic Advisory (TA), Resolution Advisory (RA), or Proximity Advisory (PA)) if the Pulselite® / Strobe Light Switch is in the ON/ACTIVE position. This option may or may not be available on the installed Pulselite® unit; see the Pulselite® installation manual for the model number installed. ◄Note►
With the Strobe Light Switch in the ON/ACTIVE mode, the Pulselite controlled lights will pulse during a TCAS/TCAD traffic event even if the Landing, or optional Logo or Runway Turn-Off, Switches are in the OFF position.
LIMITATIONS NIGHT OPERATION LIMITATIONS Turn Pulselite System Off At 500ft AGL or at Pilots Discretion During Landing Approach. (If TCAS/TCAD Option is Installed: Also Turn Pulselite/Strobe Light switch out of the ON/ACTIVE position.) EMERGENCY / NON-NORMAL PROCEDURES If any of the Landing Lights Remain on, or continue pulsing, when all Landing, Light switches and other Pulselite switches are in the OFF position, then PULL the Pulselite Circuit Breaker.

NORMAL PROCEDURES The Pulselite System provides an additional function for the aircraft external lights.
A. NORMAL PROCEDURES Activate whenever additional aircraft conspicuity is appropriate, or prescribed within the operator’s standard operating procedures.
1. Inboard (Fixed) Landing Light Switches ◄Note►
– PULSE position
If Outboard (Retractable) Landing light Switches are in the EXTEND position when the Inboard (Fixed) Landing Light Switches are in the PULSE position the Outboard (Retractable) Lights will pulse. The ON position will override the Pulselite System.
2. Outboard (Retractable) Landing Light Switches ◄Note►
– EXTEND Position
Step 3 or 4 is applicable only if the Pulselite Logo Light or the Runway Turnoff Light option is installed.
3. Logo Light Switch 4. Runway Turnoff Light Switch
– OFF position (If Installed) – OFF position (If Installed)
B. NORMAL PROCEDURES – PASSIVE OPERATION (with TCAS Interface Option) Use only in conditions where the use of the strobe lights is appropriate.
Strobe Light Switch
– ON/ACTIVE position (If Installed) ◄Note►
The Pulselite will pulse the Inboard (Fixed) Landing, Outboard (Retractable) Landing Lights (if light switches are in the EXTEND position), and Logo/Runway Turnoff Lights (depending on option installed) for the duration of a TCAS Traffic Advisory (TA), Resolution Advisory (RA), or Proximity Advisory (PA) whenever the Strobe switch is in the ON/ACTIVE position.
PERFORMANCE No Change in Airplane Performance with the Pulselite® System Installed or Operating.

GENERAL: SYSTEM OPERATION The two-position Fixed Landing Light Switches are replaced with three-position switches to add a center PULSE position. The ON and OFF positions of the Landing Light Switches will override the Pulselite® system and operate the system as normal. Optionally, the two-position Logo Switch is replaced with a three-position switch to add a center PULSE position. Only Logo Light pulsing is controlled by the Logo Light Switch in the PULSE position, independent of Landing Light pulsing. The ON and OFF positions of the Logo Light Switch will override the Pulselite® system and operate the Logo Light system as normal. Optional: The system may be automated to turn on with the TCAS/TCAD during a “Traffic Event” (Traffic Advisory (TA), Resolution Advisory (RA), or Proximity Advisory (PA)) if the Pulselite® / POSITION Light Switch is in the STROBE & STDY/ACTIVE position. This option may or may not be available on the installed Pulselite® unit; see the Pulselite® installation manual for the model number installed. ◄Note► With the Position switch in the STROBE & STDY/ACTIVE position, the Pulselite controlled lights will pulse during a TCAS/TCAD traffic event even if the Landing, or optional Logo or Runway Turn-Off, Switches are in the OFF position.
LIMITATIONS NIGHT OPERATION LIMITATIONS Turn Pulselite System Off at 500ft AGL or at Pilots Discretion During Landing Approach. (If TCAS/TCAD Option is installed: Also Turn Pulselite/Strobe Light switch out of the STROBE & STDY/ACTIVE position.)

– PULSE position
1. Fixed Landing Light Switches ◄Note►
If Retractable Landing Light Switches are in the EXTEND POSITION when the Fixed Landing Light Switches are in the PULSE position the Retractable Lights will Pulse. The ON position will override the Pulselite System.
– EXTEND Position
2. Retractable Landing Light Switches ◄Note►
Step 3 or 4 is applicable only if the Pulselite Logo Light or the Runway Turnoff Light option is installed. The Logo Lights will pulse when the Logo Light Switch is in the PULSE position regardless of Fixed Landing Light Switch position.
– PULSE position (If Installed) – OFF position (If Installed)
3. Logo Light Switch 4. Runway Turnoff Light Switch
