Volunteer Hours On-Line !!! By Christine Kriegl – Volunteer Coordinator - e-mail:
[email protected] What do mosquitoes and volunteer hours have in common? Try as we might, we cannot avoid either during football season! All jokes aside, the Board knows that volunteer hours are not something that you look forward to during the football/cheer season. As volunteer parents ourselves, we understand that you have a full family schedule with jobs, other children, multiple sports, etc. We also know that each family situation is unique, so we have tried to make this process as easy as possible: Online sign-up system that you can access at your convenience, day or night Multiple dates and positions to choose from that allow you to work around your schedule Anyone 16 or older can fill your family’s volunteer hours Some positions are “kid friendly”, meaning younger children can be with you while you work A dedicated volunteer coordinator to help you through the process LYFS is a non-profit organization that cannot provide football and cheer opportunities to the children of Londonderry without the help of our families. We recognize that our program would not be successful without YOU and we are very grateful for your help.
Go to www.LondonderryWildcats.com on the top menu select VOLUNTEER There you will find additional information and easy instructions – and information on what spots are currently open. The password to volunteer is

If you have further questions pertaining to volunteer hours, you can see your team mom or contact Volunteer Coordinator Christine Kriegl.

Got a Card Yet ?? By Jen Doucette – LYFS Fundraising Officer - e-mail:
[email protected] Did you get you WildCat card yet ?? What do you mean you haven’t……have you told your neighbors or your, other friends. Did they get one. Ask your friends on the side-lines, over 150 WildCat families have purchased their cards and are SAVING money every day and supporting the WildCats too. As an optional fundraiser this year we are offering something new, fun, and exciting. It will even save you a buck or two as well. We have created the WildCat Card. This is a discount program card that you can use at a variety of local vendors for savings over and over, and they make excellent gifts as well. The card PAYS FOR ITSELF…………. Here’s yet another example of how much you can save in the course of a year…….. Our Cheer Equipment Officer, Erin Murray has a bit of a sweet tooth. But she won’t tell anyone…..so she uses her WildCat card to “bring the family” for a little treat. Her favorite is Honey Dew Melon mixed with a little Watermelon…with her favorite fruit toppings added in for a little extra flavor. Erin says she has already saved over $10 on frozen yogurt. What about you ?? Tell us you savings story and get your picture and story in the EndZone. E-mail EndZone editor Jim Loiselle @
[email protected] to get your savings story published. What are you waiting for !!
Elliott Needs a “Helper” By Jim Loiselle – LYFS Secretary & EndZone Publisher - e-mail:
[email protected] In case you did not know our Mascot Elliott Health Systems the WildCat – or just Elliott for short – has been our mascot for several years now. No one ever really knows for sure when Elliott shows up. Like all cats he is a little fickle. Elliott needs a “helper”……..it’s not on the “official” volunteer list, but if you are willing to serve as Elliott’s special “helper” for this season please send Jim Loiselle an e-mail with your interest and he will fill you in on what it means to be Elliott’s “helper”. If you are allergic to cats, sorry, you’ll need to volunteer for something else…..and dogs need not apply. .

Concession Stand Gets a Cleaning !! By Felix Unger – LYFS Neat Freak - e-mail:
[email protected] It was s busy-busy day in WildCat land this weekend. The last time we used the concession trailer was this past November at the cheerleading competition. Time for a little cleaning, shining, inventory, and assembly. We bought two new event grilles. The old ones were several years old and showing the rough signs of having grilled thousands of burgers, hot dogs and sausages (and the odd breakfast sandwich or two). Pictured left are WildCat board members Kent Kriegl, Jim Loiselle and Michelle Lessard taking care of the inside of the trailer. Not pictured but he spent the WHOLE day putting together our new grilles was none other than the “shed guy” Tom Gramstorff. The whole day was organized by Rick Lessard (aka Mr. Clean) and he even had a neighbor, Steve Doucet, helping Tom with assembly. Christine Kriegl, and pictured here below, Mary Reyes pitched in making everything spic and span for the 2014 season. LOOK it’s one of the new event grilles in the background. Ask Christine exactly how many poker chips we use as food tokens – she washed them all !!! The trailer will make its 2014 season debut this week at Old Home Day on the town commons and after that at WildCat home games……and finally at the cheer comp………where this all started.
