Find the best time for your group to meet. x Book a room, preferably one you can book to meet in for the whole semester. If you’ve been meeting in someone’s rez room, see if that is still okay with them. x Try to connect with each member of you group individually. Send them a text to welcome them back to school and let them know you’re excited to reconnect. Send out an email to all the participants letting them know the date, time, and location of your first meeting of the semester. x If your group is still fairly shy you may want to plan an icebreaker. Alternative suggestions at this point would be to plan a social around your study (suggestions below), or have the group meet in a less formal setting. Read over the verses for the study to familiarize yourself with it.

6,1 &RPPHQWVIRUOHDGLQJWKHJURXS 1. You bringing some snacks is always a great way to insert some cheer into the start of a new semester. 2. Try to ensure all group members are getting an opportunity to share, particularly in the first few questions where it shouldn’t be too painful for anyone to talk about. 3. Model listening well to the group, as you ask follow up questions to people’s stories, and give them time to talk. 4. Be sensitive if some difficult things happened to people over the break. Offer to take time right then to pray for someone if they have shared something hard. 5. Have fun and enjoy getting to know the people in your group! If possible you could combine this study with a social time (ie. Play some hockey, go skating, have everyone over to your place for supper, etc…).
Great Questions to begin the discussion & get others sharing: 1. What was the highlight of your Christmas break? 2. Did you get anything fun for Christmas? 3. What's your favourite Christmas tradition? 4. How are you feeling about being back at university? 5. Was there anything hard about your Christmas break? (this question is more sensitive so only ask if you group trust is healthy and state that people don't have to share if they don't want to). 6. How are classes so far? How's your class schedule? 7. How are you feeling spiritually? (Close to God, Far from God--it may be good to verbally recognize that summer break and family time can make people feel all different things, and can cause people to be at different places in their walk with God). 8. Did anyone go to P2C+? How was it? ....Come up with some of your own questions to ask...

Allow the group to share. Allow the group to share. Perhaps share something that stands out to you, if the discussion is slow to start. We can eat together, pray together, recieve teaching Breaking bread together, together, trust God and worship unity, generosity, sharing, Him together, give of our meeting together, teaching, belongings, help anyone in need, prayer, seeing God work and etc... being in awe...
Allow the group to reflect. One follow-up question may be to set a goal of one thing you, as a group, can do this semester to emulate the Acts 2 believers.
