A long, long time ago, in the town of Nazareth, there lived a young woman called Mary.
She was engaged to married to a carpenter called Joseph.
Mary was visited by an angel who said said….
‘You are going to have a baby and he will be the son of God and you shall name him Jesus.’
Mary and Joseph travelled on a donkey across the desert to the town of Bethlehem where Joseph was born.
As they reached Bethlehem it was time for Mary to give birth. So Mary and Joseph searched every Inn for a place to stay.
Please sir is there any room in the Inn?
No! No!
‘You can sleep in my stable.’
Joseph led Mary and their donkey into the stable to give birth.
Out in the fields some shepherds watched their sheep by night and the Angel Gabriel appeared.
Don’t be afraid I bring good news. In the town of Bethlehem a baby has been born.
You will find him in a stable sleeping in a manger. Go and celebrate the birth of Christ our saviour.
In the desert three wise men were following a star.
As they drew closer they noticed the star was over a stable in Bethlehem where the baby Jesus lay.
As they entered the stable they laid gifts of Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh around the manger to celebrate the birth of the baby Jesus.
