What is Arkansas SHOP (Small Business Health Options Program)? • SHOP is a health insurance marketplace available through My Arkansas Insurance. • It offers tools to help small businesses shop for health insurance. • It is for businesses with 2 to 50 employees who average 30 hours or more per week.
What are the coverage choices? There are three levels of Arkansas SHOP plans. Premiums, deductibles, co-payments and out-of-pocket costs depend on which level you choose. – Gold: Covers about 8O% of the total costs of care – Silver: Covers about 7O% of the total costs of care – Bronze: Covers about 6O% of the total costs of care
What are the plan options? Businesses can choose to offer coverage for: – employee only (children and spouse not eligible), or – employee and dependents (children only, spouse not eligible) or – employee, spouse and dependents. Offering coverage for adult and pediatric dental is also an option.
