Family Reading Traditions: Reading Tree To encourage reading in your family, create a family book tree on a convenient wall. Each family member can add a leaf for every book they read. As the leaves fall outside, your tree will be just leafing out. Source: familyreading.org

PARENTING SKILLS EDUCATION SERIES

Open to all parents and caregivers with children aged 2 - 18 years. Learn and Practice 5 essential communication skills in this 8 week series. *Thursdays. Nov 5 - Jan 14 5:00 - 7:00 pm On site childcare is provided at no cost.

November 3 - 3 pm. Discovering Wool: Sheep’s wool is fun as well as useful. Children will learn and create in this hands-on project. November 2 - 10 am. Breastfeeding Support : Facilitated by Tioga County WIC and open to everyone currently or considering breastfeeding. November 4 - 9 am - 1 pm. Cars and Trikes: Large motor skills event for young children. Enjoy coupe cars, trikes, parachutes, and other large motor activities.

November 9 - 10:30 am. Nutrition Exploration: Parents and children explore healthy eating and make a snack together. November 18 - 11 am Talk Time Building Self Esteem .FRC staff will be discussing different way to nurture your child’s self confidence. November 30 - 11 am. Planning Committee: All are welcome. Your help is needed in planning field trips, programming, and fundraising

November 12 - 10:30 am. Parent Circle Intro to Incredible Years: Learn about the Incredible Years series and ask questions. This is a great program, come see what it’s all about.

Week of November 16. Young children are encouraged to play at the sensory table during open hours. What is in the table today?

November 24: 1 - 4 pm. Large Motor Room: Children will enjoy slides, a tunnel, trikes, and more.
