PARENTING SKILLS EDUCATION SERIES
Open to all parents and caregivers with children aged 2 - 18 years. Learn and Practice 5 essential communication skills in this 8 week series. Thursdays. Sept 14 - Nov 2 5:30 - 7:30 pm Waverly Family Resource Center 460 Broad Street On-site childcare is provided. No cost to attend

August 21 at 10:30 am. Interactive Fingerplay: Fun interactive activity for young children and August 9 at 10:30 am. Nutrition Exploration: Parents and children explore healthy eating and their families lead by FRC staff. make a snack together. August 23 at 11:30 am. Talk Time Getting Kids to Clean Up: Learn ways to get kids to be more helpful when cleaning up. August 14 from 9 am - 1 pm. Cars and Trikes: Large motor skills event for young children. Enjoy coupe cars, trikes, parachutes, and other large motor activities.

August 23 at 3 pm. Hot Wheels Race Track: Check out the interactive racetrack and see for yourself… Which one will go the fastest? What is the best angle to make it through loop? August 24 at 10:30 am. Riverwalk & Ice Cream: Walk the Riverwalk then go for ice cream afterwards. Wear sunscreen and appropriate clothing. Bring money for ice cream. FRC will close for this trip.
August 31 at 10 am. Slime: glue, contact solution, and baking soda. Make your favorite color of SLIME! Popsicles in a variety of colors available for snack!
