Father’s Day – SERVE 1. The Chapel’s 4 Purposes: Believe, Grow, Serve, and Change Your World Believe John 1:12 But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. Grow
God wants the church . . . Ephesians 4:12-13 to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Biblical Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
Colossians 2:7 Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.

Mark 10:45 “The Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Change Your World 1 Thessalonians 2:8 We were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well.
What is my Purpose? To teach God’s word, be a prayer warrior, disciple others, serve God, encourage others, bring joy, go MAD- go make a difference.

Romans 15:13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Excellence Colossians 3:23-24 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
What are my values? Be available when God needs me, bring hope to those that feel hopeless, pray for others, make time for family, faith, and self. Which of The Chapel’s purposes do you think I have noticed? SERVE It changes everything about them. Philippians 2:3-5 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. 5 In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus. Matthew 20:28 “just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Why Serve? It pleases God, it pleases others, and serving will change how you look at life. Romans 14:17-19 For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink, but of living a life of goodness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. 18 If you serve Christ with this attitude, you will please God, and others will approve of you, too. 19 So then, let us aim for harmony in the church and try to build each other up. NLT How should I Serve? By using my God given gifts to please God. 1 Corinthians 12:4-6 There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but the same Spirit is the source of them all. 5 There are different kinds of service, but we serve the same Lord. 6 God works in different ways, but it is the same God who does the work in all of us. NLT 1 Peter 4:10-11 God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another. 11
Do you have the gift of speaking? Then speak as though God himself were speaking through you. Do you have the gift of helping others? Do it will all the strength and energy that God supplies. Then everything you do will bring glory to God through Jesus Christ. All glory and power to him forever and ever! Amen. NLT What can I do? Discover your Spiritual Gift and TRY to make an effort.
