Set up assignments on our google classroom.
Review 12 steps and review answers with the class and provde articles at different reading levels.
Students will choose a stanza from Casey at Bat to explain. They will identify and define difficult vocabulary, figurative language and meaning. Walk through the poem one stanza at a time with student explanations.
Students will choose two articles to read. Students will write a topic sentence and then choose details from each selectiion to support their topic.

Students will put information from their reading into a graphic organizer of their choice.
Friday Feb. 19 Summary
Pre- test by grade level - packet
Review 12 steps of test taking and model writing a good summary.
Students will summarize one of the articles they read yesterday.
Summaries will be shared and graded by peers using a rubric.
