Weather Policy

The weather forecast is monitor hourly by DOC and ADOC. At around 3pm on any given day if there are storms in the immediate area, please watch out for text messages and email messages from the Clubs Rainedout service. If no announcements are made, please show up as normal. Sometimes the Club is directed to close fields by the County due to fields being waterlogged. Keep in mind that we want to maintain the quality of our fields and damaging them is detrimental to player development. If you hear a lightning siren go off once, hear thunder or see lightning, practice needs to be immediately suspended for 30 minutes from the last occurrence. Coaches need to air on the side of caution at all times and if they don’t hear warning siren use common sense to avoid placing the players and them self’s at risk. If you arrive in the middle of lightning or storm wait to hear the siren go off 3 times before entering the field. At all times seek appropriate shelter away and away from risk. Once you hear the alarm go off three times practice can be resumed. If you are within 40 minutes of the end of your practice, cancel the rest of your practice. From the time of stopping practice until your players are picked up players are not allowed on the fields…no exceptions.
