FRIENDS OF BUCKLAND SCHOOL (FOBS) NEWSLETTER - DECEMBER 2016 Unbelievably we are now into December and ‘Festive Fobs’ is just next week (Friday 9th December). Children (parents and teachers!) are invited to wear their festive jumpers to school in return for a small donation at the gate. We are also having a festive bake competition (biscuits, cakes, pies…). Please bring your entries to the DT room first thing so that they can be judged on their ‘Christmassy-ness’ ahead of going on sale after school. Our ‘Winter Warmer’ starts at 3:15pm and we hope that lots of children and their families will be able to stay for carol singing, mince pies and warm drinks; and the chance to buy some festive craft bags.

We haven't quite managed a partridge in a pear tree but we do have 12 fantastic prizes to be won in our Christmas raffle. Tickets will be on sale at the gate from Tuesday next week and the winners will be drawn during our ‘Winter Warmer’. If anyone is available to help on the day with setting up, manning a stall, tidying away – please do let us know. A few extra hands would be greatly appreciated!
Katrina & Evie Raffle Prizes
Nicola Black is planning a sponsored (static) bike ride in January to help raise money towards the outdoor stage. She has challenged herself to cycling 100 miles in a day with the aim of raising £500. Sponsorship forms will be circulated soon and she (as well as FOBS) would be incredibly grateful for your support.
