Monroe County Township Trustees Township Trustees, through the Township Assistance program (formerly known as Poor Relief), provide assistance to those in need of basic necessities. They can help direct you toward free food and clothing, as well as assist with utility bills, shelter, and some medical expenses. Call them for help.

Federal Food Stamps Your family may be eligible to receive food stamps to help cover your monthly grocery costs. Only 60% of those who are eligible take advantage of this program. What is a food pantry? Food pantries help people connect with food at no cost. Some serve anyone experiencing food insecurity, while others serve clients with special needs. Food pantries vary in size and selection. See the other side of this flyer for a list of those served by HHFB.

Hoosier Hills Food Bank

collects, stores, and distributes nutritious foods to over 90 non-profit organizations that provide free feeding programs to ill and needy families and individuals in Central Indiana in Brown, Lawrence, Martin, Monroe, Owen, and Orange Counties.

 Income must be under poverty level,
