Foodies favour resort Queenstown: Queenstown has been voted the top foodie destination in New Zealand according to a survey by website booking.com. The data survey was based on real-user food endorsements and reviews of New Zealand towns and cities. The analysis of 12,000 global travellers found culinary travel was a rising trend, with 75% of respondents indicating their choice of destination was influenced by the reputation of food and drink in the area. New Zealand Top Five Foodie Destinations were, in order, Queenstown, Wellington, Auckland, Hamilton and Nelson.
