In 4 month of 2011 (January-April), Georgia’s total foreign trade turnover amounted to 2 571 mln. USD and increased by 37%, compared to the same period of previous year. In this period, trade deficit reached 1 258 mln. USD and increased by 35%, compared to the same period of previous year. In 2010, Georgia’s total foreign trade turnover amounted to 6 678,5 mln. In 4 month of 2011, export reached 656 mln. USD and increased by 40%, compared to the same period of previous year. In 2010, export amounted to 1 583.4 mln. USD. In 4 month of 2011, import reached 1 915 mln. USD and increased by 37% compared to the same period of previous year. In 2010 import amounted to 5 095.1 mln. USD. In 4 month of 2011, major trade partner countries of Georgia are: Turkey (404.2 mln. USD ), Ukraine (285.7 mln. USD), Azerbaijan (274.2 mln. USD), China (146.9 mln. USD), Germany (134.8 mln. USD), USA (353,9 mln. USD), Russia (106.3 mln. USD), Armenia (82.0 mln. USD), Kazakhtan (78.4 mln. USD) and Bulgaria (77.6 mln.USD)
