Supplies and equipment to bring to class: Your sewing machine – in working order with  The manual and all of the parts  Clean and oil your machine before class  A 1/4” foot  New machine needle(s) Basic sewing basket supplies:  Flathead Straight pins  Seam ripper  Scissors – paper and fabric  Note taking supplies Thread – medium color (or match fabric) Fabric - 100% cotton, high grade quilters cotton  7 fat quarters for the paper pieced block  1/3 yd for the set-in triangles  2/3 yd border fabric  1 yd backing and binding Rotary cutting tools:  Small – Medium cutting mat (longest cut will be 12”)  Rotary cutter – 28mm, or 45mm *with a new blade  6” x 12” ruler  12” Add-a-quarter ruler Additional tools  Small craft iron and ironing mat  Curved Point Snips  Scotch Magic tape  12” Add-a-quarter ruler  Curved Point Snips Optional:  Power strip(s)  Extension cords  Camera – you will need a camera if you want to record all of the variations All materials may be purchased at Pacific Fabrics with a 10% discount.
