Your child is in Foundation 2
Welcome back. We hope you all had a fantastic Easter break and are ready for your child to be engaging in lots of exciting learning opportunities over the summer term. As part of our topic, down at the farm, we have organised a visit to the Ferry farm in, Hoveringham, Nottingham. The trip will enrich the children’s learning about our farm topic. The trip will take place on Friday 12th May 2017 and children will need to arrive at school for normal time. We aim to return to school for 3.00pm, however school will contact you if we become delayed in traffic. Please ensure that arrangements are made for your child to be collected on their return. F2 children will need to wear school uniform. Please provide children with suitable waterproof clothing if rain is forecast. Sensible walking shoes will need to be worn as we will be on our feet for most of the day. As part of the Universal Free School Meals Programme we are able to offer every child a free packed lunch when they go out on a school trip and therefore we would like to know if your child would like to take a packed lunch provided by the school. Please ensure you complete and sign the attached packed lunch reply slip and return it no later than Wednesday 26 th April. Any packed lunch requests received after this date will not be counted and a lunch will not be provided. Please provide a bottle of drinking water for your child as the school packed lunch does not include water. In order for the visit to go ahead a voluntary contribution of £10.00 (this has been subsidized by school) will be required. This includes coach travel to Ferry farm, a session led by an experienced guide and free time around the farm when we will complete a variety of activities. Payment must be made via your online sQuid account. I need to inform you that in the event of the voluntary contribution not being paid the visit will not be able to go ahead. In addition you need to return the consent form below to your child’s class teacher to give your permission for your child to attend the trip. This must be returned by Monday 8th May.
