10. Sew with ½” seam. Our edges are finished with a serger. If you do not have a serger, then zig zag your edges. Press your seams and top stitch.
11. Place the other main body piece on top of the piece you just created, right sides together. Pin it together just like with the first piece. Continued….

When you get to the corners, make sure your pleats face the same direction or your bottom will look wonky.
12. Sew with ½” seam. Our edges are finished with a serger. If you do not have a serger, then zig zag your edges. Press your seams and top stitch. To top stitch, you almost have to turn your bag inside out making a little “bowl” work space. Be careful not to catch other parts of fabric while you stitch!
13. Serge, or turn under and stitch the top edge of your bag and set aside.
Let’s move on to the handles! Four Peaches Fabric 2017
Handles: 1. Pin the 3” strip and 2” strip right sides together. For our bag, we used the same fabric for both pieces and finished our handle with a decorative stitch. You have some options here. You can make the 2” strip a coordinating fabric, or you can cut a 5” strip instead of a 3” and 2” and just make a simple handle. **The option is yours! **
2. Sew with a ½” seam. Press seam open. Serge or turn ends and pin the other open side together. Sew it the same as the other side.
3. Using a safety pin, turn your handle right side out and press.

2. Place your handles 3” from the sides and 1.5” from the top. Pin and sew.
