FIXTURE RULES: As per “AUSTRALIAN NETBALL RULE BOOK” Games will be 2 halves (NO INJURY TIME) Each Team to supply a COMPETENT ADULT UMPIRE with suitable footwear. Teams to score OWN GAMES Scorers to sit together and score entire game. SCORECARDS – will be at Court side and returned by WINNING TEAM to control FINGERNAILS – Must be cut – NO TAPING – NO JEWELLERY, BODY PIERCING OR HAIR COMBS. POINTS – WIN, 3 – DRAW – 2 LOSS – 1 FORFEIT 0 Teams will play in their respective Pools. WINNERS Pools will play off in finals to determine winners and runners up If teams are on equal points at end of preliminary rounds, then a goal average will determine the teams for play offs. Number of goals scored X 100 Number of goals against X Numbers of games played = % If scores are level at end of finals rounds extra time will be played. Marlin Coast region promotes participation of netball throughout this event for all players. Teachers are encouraged to keep a record of number of games played by each player. Thank you all for supporting our participation policy. Team Managers should have basic First-Aid schools to supply their own tape. Ice for injuries The Marlin Coast region will have Sports medicine person on duty for the carnival. Players to provide own tape Team Managers to remind players to wear SOFT BRIMMED HAT or VISORS, Sunscreen, Suitable footwear and players to drink PLENTY OF FLUIDS. CANTEEN FACILITIES will be available for Snacks, Lunches Cold drinks etc. Lunch order attached. Ten (10) trophies will be awarded to Winners and Runners Up. Rules of competition can be found www.netballq.org.au . Some rules have been slightly changed by the Region as we are hosting a round robin event and not home and away games The grade7/ 8/9/competition is hosted by the Marlin Coast region , and is part of development program for Junior Marlins. The region would appreciate your schools support by allowing current Junior Marlins to display their identification number at today's event. Grade 7/8/9 players are ineligible to play in Vicki Wilson Cup team. Marlin Coast hopes that all players and officials enjoy the Netball carnival and that the games are played in the true spirit of the game. Especially the timing and expansion of competition to involve Grade 7s.Several schools have missed today's event as their school had already ended term 2 ( MSB and St. Monica's) and others had a clash of sports. 8.15: A Representative from each team, either coach, manager or umpire to assemble at control for a briefing of the event. Schools must inform me before games start if unavailable to travel to Brisbane for State wide finals if they win today’s event.
