NVAL 2016 PRINTING/FRAMING OPTIONS – NVAL is trying very hard to make it easier and less expensive for artists to exhibit. SUMMARY – All options are available to every accepted artist, except Option 4, which is available to International Artists only. Option 1 Please verify this choice and when the work will be delivered. Options 2 – 4 Please email us which framing option you plan on using along with the frame size you desire ASAP. For international artists wishing to have work printed in Redding , please email your full resolution, properly sized file, for each image. Email to [email protected] AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. All work should be delivered to the NVAL Carter House Gallery, 48 Quartz Hill Rd., Redding, CA 96003. Gallery Hours: Tuesday – Saturday, 11am to 4pm

PRINTING/FRAMING REQUIREMENTS & OPTIONS – DETAILS
All accepted images submitted for exhibition must be printed and framed either professionally or in a professional manner. Simple dark framing with white or off-white matting is recommended. Artists doing their own printing and framing must submit work ready to hang. Maximum frame dimension is 40 inches on any side and maximum weight is 12 pounds. NVAL hangs with cable hooks, so please use only frame hangers, D-rings or split rings for your hanging hardware.
If the framed print does not substantially meet the appearance of the JPEG entry, or if the print quality, matting or framing are not suitable quality for gallery presentation, the NVAL may ask the artist to replace whichever element is not suitable.
Redding has a very fine custom print service which will be utilized for any prints made locally. All matting and framing done by NVAL will be done using quality, archival matting and framing materials. All images will be hung from acid-free backing material. Simple black frames will be used.
OPTION 1 – Artist Prints & Frames Image
Artist submits framed print ready for exhibit. Please include a label listing artist name, image title and sales price. Sales price is for framed print. Work returned to the artist will be in the packing material in which it was received. Shipped Work is due at Carter House Gallery April 14 – 27, Tues-Sat, 11am to 4pm Hand-delivered work is due at the Carter House Gallery April 14 - 30, Tues-Sat, 11am to 4pm
OPTION 2 – Artist Prints & Mats Image – NVAL Lends Frame
Artist submits mounted and matted print to fit frame sizes 16x20, 18x24, 20x24, 21x21, 22x28 and 24x24 (inches). NVAL will loan the frame, and frame the matted print. Cost to artist is $15 per piece plus the cost of any return shipping Please include a label listing artist name, image title and sales price. Sales price is for matted print without frame. NVAL will invoice via PayPal for payment. Work returned to the artist will be without the frame in the packing material in which it was received. Work is due at Carter House Gallery as soon as possible, no later than April 22
OPTION 3 -- Artist Submits Print Only -- NVAL Lends Custom-cut Mat and Frame
Artist submits print only, sized to fit frame sizes 16x20, 18x24, 20x24, 21x21, 22x28 and 24x24 (inches). Prints need to have a minimum one-half inch border to facilitate matting. NVAL will loan artist custom-cut mat and a frame. NVAL will frame the print using high quality, acid-free materials. Cost to artist is $30 per piece plus the cost of any return shipping Artists should use a 3” or larger sturdy mailing tube or reinforced box to send their prints. Please include a label listing artist name, image title and sales price. Sales price is for matted print without frame. NVAL will invoice via PayPal for payment. Any print returned to the artist will be in the mailing tube or box in which it was received. Work is due at the Carter House Gallery as soon as possible, no later than April 22
OPTION 4 – INTERNATIONAL ARTISTS ONLY – Artist submits high-resolution, properly sized digital file to be printed in Redding. NVAL lends Custom-cut Mat and Frame.
NVAL will coordinate the printing of digital files with a local quality custom printing service. NVAL will loan artist custom-cut mat and frame. NVAL will mat and frame the print using highquality, acid-free materials. Frame sizes available are 16x20, 18x24, 20x24, 21x21, 22x28 and 24x24 (inches). Cost to artist is $35 per piece, plus print costs per image and any return shipping. NVAL will invoice via PayPal for payment Should the work not sell, the print will be returned to the artist in a 3 inch, sturdy mailing tube by U.S. mail. Mailing cost to the artist is $5 for the mailing tube, plus the cost of postage (typically $15 to $25). Sales price is for matted print without frame. To use this option, please email your full resolution, properly sized file saved as a flattened psd or tiff (no compression), for each image you want printed in Redding to [email protected] AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
Paper available is 14 mil Fibre Satin or Fibre Matte.
