SCHOOL UNIFORMS On May 19, 2015, the LPS Board voted and passed that all LPS Elementary Schools will participate in a modified dress code (uniform) program. Freedom is a uniform school for the 2017-18 school year. LPS’s Modified Dress Code can be found at:
Lawton Public Schools Student Code Book Dress Code Requirements: *Boys Polo style shirt - (short or long sleeve) any solid color, no emblem Slacks –Black, Navy Blue or Khaki Shorts –Black, Navy Blue or Khaki Sweatshirt, hoodies etc. –any solid color, no emblem *Girls Polo style shirt – (short or long sleeve) any solid color, no emblem. Slacks, capris, shorts –Black, Navy Blue or Khaki Skirts or jumpers –Black, Navy Blue or Khaki **NO DENIM WILL BE PERMITTED** (With the exception of Freedom Fridays) Shoes, socks, leggings accessories etc. are not subject to the dress code. Fridays will be Freedom Fridays where students are permitted to wear their Freedom School T-shirts and jeans. (If students do not wear the school shirt, they will be expected to wear the normal polo and uniform pants). School shirts may be purchased through the Freedom Elementary PTA.
***As the cooler weather approaches, please note that all sweatshirts, hoodies, cardigans or sweaters being worn during the school day must be a solid color and no emblem.***

“Frontier Days” Field Trip For: 3rd, 4th, 5th grade students. When: Friday, September 29, 2017; Activities are from 12:30—2:15 pm. Where: Students will be bused to the Old Post Quadrangle on Fort Sill—this is outside. Activity: Students will experience Army life on the frontier; participating in activities and listening to presenters. Special Instructions: Students need to wear a red school spirit shirt, or a red uniform shirt with their jeans/shorts/pants and comfortable walking shoes. Sunscreen is recommended. Lunch: Students need to choose either a sack lunch from school, or bring a lunch from home in a disposable container. Water may be brought if student is able to carry it with them throughout the day.
