2015 CHARITY G LF DAY EVENT OVERVIEW Date Friday 22 May, 2015 Venue Oatlands Golf Club Bettington Road Oatlands Event Shotgun start 4 Person Ambrose Format 7:00am R egistration, breakfast, briefing & Putting Comp 7:45am $10K Putting Comp Final 8:30am Shotgun start, followed by networking drinks, sit down buffet bbq lunch, & presentations.
For over 35 years, ONE80TC has given young people who struggle with life-controlling issues, a second chance at life. The program aims to eliminate selfdestructive habits by meeting the needs of the whole person … not only dealing with the addiction, but also rebuilding their self-image, work ethic and relationships. All proceeds raised from the day will go towards ONE80TC and help rescue men like Christian, restore his life and rebuild his family.

Mum left my dad when I was one due to the violence. She was sick with Chronic Fatigue for most of her life which meant we didn’t have a lot of what other kids did so I ended up roaming the streets. At about 14 I became rebellious and started sneaking out, eventually running away. I lived at a refuge at Kings Cross for a year where I met my first girlfriend who at 15, and only one year older than me, become pregnant and then lost the baby. I was smoking marijuana and drinking every day. Graffiti, painting and vandalism became my way of life. It was my second girlfriend who introduced me to speed and ecstasy. I was also drinking heavily and committing crime. I couldn’t hold down a job and was in and out of the court system.
I got into serious trouble at a party one night and ended up with charges of assault resulting in a 12 months sentence. My brother told me about ONE80TC and after an appeal was lodged, I received a suspended sentence on condition that I completed the ONE80TC program. Thanks to ONE80TC, my whole situation turned around… and so has my life. My dreams are getting bigger and I have a purpose and a future to look forward to. Christian Volpi Ex-Student
