Tournament Game MVP Medal Awards
MVP Medals: Teams will receive medals at check in to be awarded to the “Most Valuable Player” of the opposing team for each team for every game, including pool games. Please use this process: At the conclusion of each game, after a congratulatory handshake between teams, teams are responsible for choosing a player from the opposing team as that team’s MVP. Teams then use and award their own MVP medals to present to the other team player. Players can be awarded only one MVP medal during the tournament. Basis of selection can include skill, sportsmanship, determination, etc. Use the tournament MVP Medal to celebrate all participants in the game: players, coaches, referees, spectators, and the game itself. Hint: As the tournament progresses, you can always ask a suggestion from the opposing coach for a player who may have been overlooked in prior games.
