  Finished size: 34” x 39” This charming table topper is quick and easy, and a beautiful way to show off the Park Drive fabric collection from Henry Glass. The wonderful binding is made using the new Quick Points ruler, Rectangles on Edge—it adds the perfect finishing touch! Supplies 1/3 yard red toile print (6271-8) 1/3 yard total, (or 15 cut squares, 5” x 5”) of assorted coordinating prints from the Park Drive collection 1/3 yard circle print (6273-8) 5/8 yard gray stripe (6274-90) 3/4 yard red vine print (6182-88) Quick Points Rectangles on Edge ruler and pusher

Cutting From the red toile print, cut: (15) squares, 5” x 5” From assorted Park Drive coordinates, cut: (15) squares, 5” x 5” From red circle print, cut: (2) strips, 2 ½” x 27 ½” (2) strips, 2 ½” x 31 ½” From gray stripe, cut: (2) borders, 4 ½” x 31 ½” (2) borders, 4 ½” x 35” From red vine print, cut: (8) strips, 3” wide x width of fabric for rectangle binding.

CONSTRUCTION 1. Layout your 5” squares in a checkerboard-like pattern, alternating the red toile print squares with the assorted coordinating print squares. Place them in a pleasing arrangement in six rows of five squares each. 2. Sew the squares in each row together. Alternate the seam pressing direction on each row so they will nest together.

3. Sew the rows together matching up the seams and corners of the blocks. The quilt center should measure 23” x 27 ½”.

4. Sew a 2 ½” x 27 ½” circle print strip to each side of the quilt center. Press seam out.

5. Sew a 2 ½” x 27” circle print strip to the top and bottom edges of the quilt center. Press seam out.

6. Sew the 4 ½” x 31 ½” borders to the sides of the quilt center. Press seam toward quilt center. 7. Sew the 4 ½” s 35” borders to the top and bottom of the quilt center. Press seam toward quilt center.

8. Layer quilt top with batting and backing. Quilt as desired. 9. Seam two sets of (4) red vine 3” strips together end to end. (Seam together diagonally to reduce bulk when folded.) Place the strips right sides together. Follow the directions on the Rectangles on Edge ruler to create the binding. Use the Pusher to push each rectangle right side out and press. (visit www.quickpointsruler.com to see a tutorial.) 10. Fold the prepared binding (with the cut side in) in half lengthwise and press. Starting in one corner, fold the binding around the edge of the quilt, turning at the corners. Pin in place. 11. Top-stitch approx. ¼” from the edge in a straight or decorative stitch all the way around the quilt, catching the prepared binding on both sides.
