Smart Fuel: Liquid Propane AVAILABILITY
LP
FUEL SHELF LIFE
In the event of a leak, propane immediately vaporizes; because it’s a gas there is no spillage
Shelf life is indefinite so extra canisters can be safely stored for an emergency. No stabilizers are needed.
Chances are very good propane will be readily available during an emergency. Bypass long gas lines and go right to the LP tank exchange. No Waiting!
GASOLINE
SAFETY
Fumes and spills are flammable, especially when refueling a hot generator.
Cannot be left in the generator for an extended period of time without stabilizer or it will cause carburetor damage. Cannot be stored for extended periods of time without deterioration.
Gasoline may run out during an emergency or scarcity can cause long lines at the pump; pumps won’t work without electricity.
