Scholarships are tuition-specific awards and may only be applied to current tuition charges and may not exceed the annual tuition. The scholarship recipient agrees to participate in the stewardship thank-you letter (TYL) process to express gratitude to the donor for his/her generosity. The scholarship will be revoked and will not expend/disburse to the student account if the student recipient fails to complete the TYL according to the specified guidelines. Scholarships may be subject to change due to reduction, cancellation, verification, or changes in programs. All scholarships and awards will be evenly disbursed to the student account at the start of each school year, as applicable. The scholarship recipient must make satisfactory academic progress (SAP) in order to remain eligible for financial aid. SAP is monitored at the end of each semester; students must maintain a minimum grade of 3.25 or better with no violation of the original work policy unless otherwise specified according to specific scholarship requirements. Scholarship eligibility is subject to review for students who fail to maintain a general respectable decorum or any violation of the following policies: Original Work and Academic Responsibility, Excessive Absence Policy, Zero Tolerance Policy, and the “No Doubt” Policy. If a student is suspended or dismissed for disciplinary conduct, his/her scholarship will be permanently revoked and not reinstated for any future semesters at Orange Lutheran High School. No appeals to reinstate the scholarship will be granted for students who lose their scholarships due to disciplinary suspension or dismissal. If the scholarship is revoked, the student/family will be required to pay the student account within 14 days from the time of notice. In addition to the General Scholarship Terms and Conditions, students awarded academic scholarships* must also agree to the following Terms and Conditions regarding their Academic Scholarships: a student's initial academic scholarship award letter from the Academic Scholarship Committee states s/he must maintain a minimum 3.25 Orange Lutheran High School cumulative GPA and remain in good academic and disciplinary standing in order to keep an academic scholarship. If the student's Orange Lutheran cumulative GPA drops below a 3.25 by the end of any semester (including summer school), s/he will have until the end of one probationary, funded semester for which s/he is enrolled for a grade (including summer school) to bring the Orange Lutheran cumulative GPA back up to at least 3.25. If s/he does not, the academic scholarship will be revoked. When academic scholarships are revoked, they can only be reinstated if appealed and approved by the Financial Assistance Academic Committee. Further, in the event a scholarship is permanently revoked, it is the student's responsibility to appeal for need-based financial aid if necessary.

Additionally, if the student improves his/her Orange Lutheran cumulative GPA to a 3.25 at the end of a probationary semester, s/he is expected to maintain this cumulative GPA for the duration of his/her scholarship, and is also expected to remain in good disciplinary standing. After re-attaining the required 3.25, if the cumulative GPA again drops below the required 3.25 at the end of any subsequent semester (including summer school), the scholarship will be revoked.
