Which of the following have you personally struggled with? A disciple is a learner and follower of Jesus Christ. Discipleship is something that is done “on-the-go.” A Christian is a disciple, and a disciple is a Christian.
DISCIPLESHIP “Discipleship is a relationship before it is a task. It’s a who before a what… To be with Jesus is the most profound mystery of discipleship. ” James Edwards, Commentary of the Gospel of Mark

GOING DEEPER QUESTIONS
1. It was said in the sermon that discipleship requires the opening of your mouth. Thus the clever saying by St. Francis is misleading, “Preach the gospel at all times. Use words when necessary.” Why do you think this saying has become so influential in the church? 2. Many people get discouraged when it comes to discipleship because they think it is something they have to do in addition to their already busy schedules. The interesting thing is that when Jesus says, “Go make disciples…” The word “go” is passive: “as you go.” Thus, discipleship is not an additional activity, but something implemented in what you are already doing in your daily life. What do you think this practically looks like for you? 3. Read John 13:34-35. What do you think would be so pecular about their love for one another that would give people clear evidence that they were Jesus’ disciples? In other words, what makes their love for each other different from the world’s?
PRAYER (TIPS/ GUIDANCE) 1. Pray for God to give you the courage to obey his command to make disciples. 2. Pray for each other’s personal discipleship with their relationship with Jesus Christ. CHURCH | AT | BERGEN
