Game Notes FIRST PITCH Gettysburg plays its final non-conference game of the season as it takes on the Juniata College Eagles in a single nine-inning game this afternoon. ALL-TIME SERIES The Bullets lead the Eagles 24-19 in the all-time series that dates all the way back to 1914. Gettysburg has won the last three meetings. LAST TIME OUT Stevenson University scored eight runs over its last two innings and the Mustangs pulled away late to hand Gettysburg a 12-4 loss in non-conference baseball action here at Kirchhoff Field yesterday. The Bullets slugged five extra-base hits but were hurt by seven errors, which led to eight unearned runs. Senior Henry Klimowicz finished 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs to lead Gettysburg at the plate while classmate Steve Wright went 2-for-3 with a double. LAST MEETING WITH JUNIATA Rich Power held Juniata to three runs over 8 1/3 innings while picking up his first career victory as the Bullets won 6-3 in Huntingdon two years ago. The Bullets never trailed after jumping to a 4-0 lead in the top of the first, and it was a 6-1 game heading into the bottom of the ninth, when Juniata threatened by loading the bases with one out. But Aaron Bezio came on to get the final two outs and pick up his first career save. Power, who was making his first career start, struck out eight batters while scattering eight hits and three walks. Anthony Lombardo finished 2-for-4 with a double to lead Juniata. BULLETS COMPETE IN MINOR LEAGUE PARK Gettysburg enjoyed a rare opportunity to compete in a professional ballpark when it visited Penn State Altoona in a doubleheader played at Peoples Natural Gas Field, the home of the Al-

toona Curve - the Double-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates. Gettysburg swept the twinbill, winning 14-3 and 10-0. The Bullets are also scheduled to play at Clipper Magazine Stadium - home of the Lancaster Barnstormers of the Atlantic League - when they visit Franklin & Marshall College on April 8. SNEED TIES RECORD AGAIN For the second time this season, sophomore third baseman Logan Sneed tied the school record for hits in a game when he finished 5-for-6 in the Bullets’ 14-2 win over Penn State Mont Alto this past Friday. Sneed roped five singles to tie the record he set just a week earlier when he went 5-for-5 in a win over Penn State York. He is the 12th player in program history to reach five hits in a game. SCOUTING THE EAGLES  Juniata is coming off a three-game sweep at the hands of Susquehanna University in a Landmark Conference series this past Friday and Saturday.  Senior Anthony Lombardo has enjoyed a strong start offensively, batting .380 while driving in 19 runs.  Freshman Hunter Price and senior Chris Sinisi have earned two wins apiece on the mound for the Eagles, with Price leading the squad with 17 strikeouts over 21 innings pitched. TAKE ALS YARD The Gettysburg College baseball team is teaming up in the fight against ALS once again through its Take ALS Yard initiative. Throughout the season, the Bullets will sell Take ALS Yard hats and t-shirts at the table next to the home dugout, with all proceeds going to Project ALS. The team will also accept donations at the Take ALS Yard website, takealsyard.com. Now in its fourth season, Take ALS Yard has raised over $25,000 for ALS research and was inspired by two friends of the Gettysburg College baseball program who were diagnosed with ALS and have since passed away.
