Lesson 1 - Building an Agricultural Profile
Agricultural Profile Foldable Notes NAME
Orient your paper in the landscape position and then fold the left and right hand sides of your paper toward the middle until the edges meet. Crease each fold. Your sheets should now look like three-panel brochures. The left hand panel will feature information about agriculture in your social entrepreneurship region of study and the right hand panel will feature information about agriculture in the United States. Create tabs in your foldable by cutting the left and right outer panels from their edges to the creases to create eight tabs on each side. The top left-hand tab will be labeled with the name of the region of study and the top right-hand tab will be labeled “United States.” One way to create the tabs is to keep panels folded and use rulers and pencils to sketch faint lines across the front panels every 1” starting at the top of the foldables. You can then cut each side fold along the pencil lines. You will need to pick seven facts that you feel are the most revealing of your social entrepreneurship region of study. You should then label the outer tabs with the categories of information you intend to record. For example: • Arable land. • Fertilizer. • Food production. • Tractors. • Workers per hectare. • Livestock production. • Cereal production. Under each region/country’s tab, you will record the corresponding facts for each region/country.
